Carrick-on-Shannon Crowned Ireland’s Tidiest Town 2025
Carrick-on-Shannon has made history! On October 24th, 2025, our town was officially named Ireland’s Tidiest Town at the prestigious SuperValu Tidy Towns Competition. To top it off, we also received the award for Ireland’s Tidiest Small Town — a remarkable double achievement that reflects decades of dedication and community pride.

This achievement is the culmination of over 40 years of hard work by volunteers, residents, and local organisations committed to keeping our town clean, vibrant, and welcoming.
