Carrick’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade Winners 2017
Despite the inclement weather there was a great turnout for the Parade in Carrick on Shannon . Our Grand Marshal Mr John Feely with his wife Noreen led the Parade through the streets in Jim Gannon’s Vintage 1934 Morris Crowley. There was fun and good humour from the record number of parade entrants. The large representation from businesses, community groups, clubs, schools and organizations made it almost impossible to decide on winners but the topical Pres. Trump and the Mexican Wall entry from Kilmore Inn Vintage Club was just unbeatable. Well done to everyone who took part.
The Parade Winners are:-
Best Overall Entry – Kilmore Inn Vintage Club – Sponsored by Gannons Eggs and Poultry.
Most Creative Entry – Scoil Mhuire – Sponsored by Cox’s Pharmacy.
Best Children’s Entry – Sean Nós ar an tSionann Dance Club – Sponsored by Mulvey’s Kids Kingdom.
