Carrick on Shannon Chamber and the CEO of Chambers Ireland, Mr Ian Talbot has today (31/8/11) met with Minister Richard Bruton T.D., and with the CEO of the IDA, Mr Barry O’ Leary to discuss efforts to find a new buyer for Bank of America following their exit from the credit card business.
Chamber President, Gerry Faughnan, said “We are very pleased to have had an opportunity to meet with the Minister and the CEO of the IDA, Barry O’Leary.

Carrick Chamber members participated on the Pat Kenny Radio Show when it visited the town recently. Gerry Faughnan, Colm McGrath Ciaran Kelly and other locals engaged with RTE's Miriam o Callaghan and Valerie Cox on a range of topics related to the Bank of America sell off of its credit card business. As well as addressing concerns locally following the announcement, listeners were also given an outline of the Chamber 'MyCarrick - Your Carrick on Shannon' Town Marketing Project which features a new web site, www.mycarrick.ie, due to launch in a few weeks time.
